Good day! My name is Rickey Austin and I am an avid science fan and love to study the history and work of great physicist between roughly 1880 and 1940. The amount of advancement they brought to our world is simply mind blowing. Not only were they brilliant, they were relentless in their pursuit of truth. They struggled, they endured, they were human, and they changed the world. Two world wars didn’t slow their tenacity, tragedies occurred, and overwhelming backstabbing by the people they saved. Yet, their science prevailed. Any work I do of value must always have the root of its credit given to them. The true masters of our modern world.
My studies are varied over a life time of pursuits. I have undergraduate studies in business administration, church administration, and a BS in Physics. Those alone should give a hint of my journey, as now I am an agnostic at best, and an avid pursuer of science. My experience with the church has inspired me to write Primordial Prayer, a philosophical work on a possible origin to humankind’s instinctive drive to pray (spoiler alert, it isn’t a religious pursuit).
Later in life I obtained a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Computational Science and Engineering with a concentration in theoretical physics. During my personal time my endeavors include this site, dedicated to curiosities I find intriguing. A few of them are: gravity, astronomy and quantum in the science world, history of science, philosophy, ancient engineering (the reason I enjoy Ancient Aliens), 3D printing, CNC woodworking, and Art Nouveau.
Should you ever need my skillset, I am available on a very limited basis for consultation/advisory.
